Secretary of Defense United States (U.S.) Robert Gates expressed his concern on the new 'high on military weapons technology' China.
On the same lines were the thoughts of US Vice Admiral David J. Dorsett, who, when interviewed about the latest of the Dragon's military aircraft technology, suspiciously similar to the military technology of US, said, "I'm most concerned about China's focus on dominating the electromagnetic spectrum, conducting counter-space capabilities, and conduct cyber activities."
According to Gates, better military ties with Beijing would help prevent conflict between them, caused of the latest military technology of China. "They threaten our military. We have to respond in way by developing our own program," Gates quoted.
Gates said strengthening military ties with Beijing, owing to its development and procurement of cutting-edge military technology, is needed.

Sarantel Group has announced that they have won a big contract with a US defense contractor that should give the company a $287,000 cash boost. The company plans to use the funds to develop two compact, high-performance antenna designs for the latest military technology and security applications.

One of these products is a high performance single frequency GPS antenna and the other is a GlobalStar antenna. Both products are intended for use by the US Navy, and will be produced under a separate contract from the one signed in November 2010 with a different defense contractor for development of an antenna for portable military satellite communications. Development is expected to be completed by June with production following over the next 12-18 months. The growing military contract momentum for Sarantel is a good indication of the high performance and reliability of their technology.

Latest military technology news is that a prototype robot in the field of covert robotics can operate around humans without being detected. This covert military technology robot can build a computer model of its surroundings, incorporating information on lines of sight. This military technology surveillance robot is fitted with a laser scanner to allow it to covertly map its environment in 3D. It has a set of acoustic sensors which it uses to distinguish footsteps and their direction. This robot is also painted black so as to avoid detection in the dark.

At this level, this covert military technology robot's software is limited only to task-specific instructions and is not sophisticated enough to hide from humans in varied environments. With advances in military technology and robotics, a robot that can act covertly in a general situation should soon be created.
