Is investing in military technology really worth it? From a venture capitalist point of view, it really is. Investing in developing technology for the military is sure to rake in handsome returns. With the high budget set for the military in every country out there in the world, not only will you be earning lots of cash, but you will be paying less tax too. There are lots of government incentives out there that make this easy and simple.

However, the market for such investment is similar to that of a monopoly's. Nobody can really enter at will, and even if you're in, you must have connections to have anything developed and sold to the military. However, with the right friends, the right products, and the right approach, you can become one of the few people out there who can sell military technologies.

Military technology of the future is being developed in support of the Marine Corp's "beyond the horizon" approach for amphibious assaults. They are bringing many different assets together around the Wasp Class Amphibious Assault Ship, which will serve as a launch platform for smaller crafts to ferry troops, supplies and ammo to enemy shores.

Focusing in on one of these small er crafts, the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) is an upgrade to the concept of the Amphibious Assault Vessel (AAV). The EFV is three times faster then the AAV, carries a 30 mm Bushmaster Cannon, and can transport a full marine squad to shore with unparalleled protection from enemy ammo. Once ashore, the EFV can keep pace with the other armour on the ground such as the Abrams tank.
